Xoë Zahara crafts acoustic folk music that gently accompanies listeners through life's sacred, soul-stirring moments.

Xoë Zahara is a singer-songwriter weaving soft folk melodies with honest storytelling. Rooted in acoustic sounds and raw emotion, her music explores healing, memory, and the quiet moments in between.

 

She bought her first guitar at sixteen, inspired after seeing a young Laura Marling perform in her hometown of Portsmouth. Until then, Xoë had been crafting melodies over karaoke tracks, writing lyrics that held more truth than she knew how to say aloud. But in that moment, watching six strings echo soul, she understood: her voice and a guitar were all she needed to begin.

 

Her debut album, Gypsy, was recorded at home in a warehouse in Byron Bay in the summer of 2017, using a humble self-recording device in front of her old busking amp. Intended as a demo for future production, the raw resonance of those first takes struck more true than any polished version ever could. The album has since become a favourite for listeners who turn to it for their own soul reflections.

 

Over the years, her songs have accompanied people through some of life's most sacred thresholds – from birth playlists welcoming new souls into the world, to holding the hands of loved ones as they pass into the next. Her music finds its place in moments where words fall short, but feeling still wants to be heard.

 

With two new EP's in the works right now; an acoustic version of the songs from her chamber-pop side-project Fates, & a new raw alt-folk EP. Her upcoming records continue this offering – a songbook for the heart's longings, losses and quiet joys.
